AHMEDABAD: Grace marks will be given to students as to make amends and goof-ups first semester exam in BA, BCom, Bsc, BBA and BCA courses which conclude on Friday.
GU Vice Chancellor Dr. Parimal Trivedi said that that there are mistakes and errors in the first semester exams since the semester system was introduced for the first time since the implementation of the optional credit-based system (CBCS). “We don’t want every student to suffer due to errors in paper-setting and other administrative errors. We have therefore decided that grace marks up to 10 marks will be given to students “, Trivedi said.
It is worth mentioning that first semester exam which GU is full of mistakes and errors with the error is reported in at least 10 papers different courses. In the bottom four trade courses, reported incidents where the questions in the newspaper that is not in the syllabus.
One student was given a paper cancelled as examination paper that has been done. There are also a number of reports requested from outside the syllabus, multiple choice questions that do not have the correct selection and testing is being done on paper with different taught as part of the semester.
GU officials say that at present, the University has decided not to take action against teachers for misconduct in paper-setting as a semester system CBCS was introduced for the first time and there are a lot of pressure on the teacher.
