Beauty Hair Cuttery throughout the metro area collect gently used coats, Baltimore’s jacket, hat, scarf and gloves to Krausey’s Koats, a national effort to collect cold weather gear for those in need this winter. The collection is taking place now through new year’s day.

Donations can be taken to the Hair Cuttery location in Center Valley) during normal business hours.

All items collected are sent to the mission and the local homeless shelter, and various non-profits serving the poor, such as: cradle to crayons. Transport and delivery of winter supplies will be handled in cooperation with the United States Army.

Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and operated a chain of hair salons in the country, partnered with Krausey’s Koats campaign last year in Philadelphia and a coat that was successfully collected 6,500 for those in need.

“This year,” said Dennis Ratner, Hair Cuttery founder and CEO, “with the expansion of the program into other areas, we hope to raise even more cold-weather clothing for those in need. It would certainly make it a festive holiday for all of us. “
