Titanic item sold for 100 years after sinking

RICHMOND, Va.

Almost a century after April 15, 1912, the sinking of a ship that crashed into an iceberg in the North Atlantic, an auction in New York City is prepared by Guernsey’s Auctioneers

The auction house has garnered headlines in the past by selling curiosities such as the Beatles history photos, precious jewelry is famous for the late Princess Diana, beloved Jerry Garcia’s guitar and a police motorcycle is used in a cavalcade of Texas when President John f. Kennedy was assassinated. But unlike the titanic as the Titanic collection called.

On April 11, all items are saved is to be sold as one lot what President Arlan Ettinger described the Guernsey’s as the most important auctions ever handled by the House.

“Being on this planet do not know the story of the Titanic and be entranced by it?” he asked. “Could have written the story Hollywood more tragic or goose-bump-increase than what actually happened on the ship?”
